NOTICE ABOUT SHOWING UP LATE TO AN APPOINTMENT

In the past there has been a 10 minute late window for patients with scheduled appointments at the Bay Mills Medical Clinic.

This would allow a patient to be late for their appointment without having to reschedule as long as they were not 10 minutes or more late.     Unfortunately, this has been taken advantage of and has significantly affected the efficiency and quality of patient care, especially for the patients that show up at their scheduled time.

The Bay Mills Medical Clinic is no longer going to allot a 10 minute late window.

Patients are now requested to show up 10 minutes prior to their scheduled time to allow time for updating paperwork and checking in.     While there may be extenuating circumstances, there is also not much leeway, so patients that are late need to be prepared to reschedule.

EYE APPOINTMENT INFORMATION

Anyone who needs eye appointments for their children before the start of the school year needs to call Tweek's office at 248-8328. Please leave a message with a phone number, birth date and address where the letter can be sent to you with appointment information. Please do not wait until September to get your child in as most times there are no openings until October.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Early notification enables us to schedule someone else in your time slot and better serve all our patients.

If you have an urgent problem, please call the clinic and we will place you on a schedule for a possible same day appointment. We are unable to accept walk-in patients.

All calls related to your medical treatment should be placed to our office at 906-248-5527 and for dental at 906-248-5579. Your call will be directed to the person best able to handle your inquiry.

Prescription Information

We request that you bring all your prescriptions to each office visit. This will allow us to determine if you need refills and to ensure we have an accurate record of your medication to avoid medication interactions.

Please allow 48 hours advance notice for prescription refills, because the doctor must evaluate the request and review your medical record before they can renew your prescription. Please call our office between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. and have your container handy when you call so that we can confirm prescription information. Antibiotics and new prescriptions are not prescribed over the phone.

We are committed to the continuity of patient care when the office is closed. After hours, please utilize the community care clinic or Emergency Room.  If it is an emergency then call 911.
