Ellen Marshall
Medicine Woman, Midwife
1860-1959
Ellen Marshall was a practicing medicine woman and licensed midwife. She served the Bay Mills Indian Community and surrounding areas all through the 1950's. She delivered many Bay Mills tribal members. Ellen Marshall died in 1959.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours inadvance. Early notification enables us to schedule someone else in your time slot and better serve all our patients.

Urgencies
If you have an urgent problem, please call the clinic and we will schedule you for a same day appointment. If you choose walk-in, we will make every effort to work you in between the patients who have scheduled appointments. Please understand that you may have a longer wait than those who have an appointment.

All calls related to your medical treatment should be placed to our office at 906-248-5527 and for dental at 906-248-5579. Your call will be directed to the person best able to handle your inquiry.
Billing Questions
Providing you excellent health care is our first priority. For your convenience, we accept most commercial insurance including the following: Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Medicare and Medicaid.
For those who are uninsured, we offer the following options: Mastercard, Visa; Sliding fee for those who meet the established guidelines guidelines and payment plans are also available. Please contact the health center and ask for the patient accounts manager for details.
Prescriptions
We suggest that you check your prescriptions before each office visit to determine if you need refills. Because the doctor must evaluate the request and review your medical record before he can renew your prescription, please allow 48 hours advance notice for prescription refills. Please call our office between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and have your container handy when you call so that we can confirm prescription information. Antibiotics and new prescriptions are not prescribed over the phone.
After Hours
We are committed to the continuity of patient care when the office is closed. If you should have a health problem after the clinic is closed, please call 906-248-5527 and you will automatically be transferred to the Nurse on-call. The nurse will provide you with self care instructions or direct you to seek medical or dental care at the nearest health facility.
