Fall Flu Shot Clinics Nov. 13
A clinic for flu shots will take place at the Bay Mills Health Center Nov. 13 from 1 to 5 p.m. The shot, for ages 6 months and up, is free to all tribal members and employees and Medicare carriers; and $12 for the general public.

Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a special food and nutrition program promotion good health and nutrition. Those who are pregnant, breast-feeding, postpartum, or with infants or children up to 5 may be eligible for WIC.
WIC income guidelines are: $22,422 for a family of two and $28,231 for a family of three. For each additional member add $5,809. (A pregnant woman and unborn baby equal a family of two.)
The WIC office will be at the Armella B. Parker Senior Center on the last Tuesday of the month. Clinics are also located in Sault Avery Square and the Kinross Co-Op Mall.

Dreamkeeper rescheduled for Dec. 28 and 29
A mini-series from Hallmark Entertainment, “Dreamkeepers” tells the story of Old Pete Chasing Horse (Genie Award winner August Schellenberg, Black Robe), the storyteller of the Pine Ridge Reservation, and 17-year-old Shane Chasing Horse (Eddie Spears, Geronimo), a troubled teen with the task of driving him across country to the All Nations ceremony in New Mexico.
This show was originally planned to be broadcast locally last May but has been rescheduled for Dec. 28-29 from 9-11 p.m. on local ABC affiliate Channel 29&8.

Vouchers needed for specialty doctors; 72-hour notice in effect
Tribal members: You are responsible for calling or stopping by the CHS office to pick up your voucher when you are referred to a specialty doctor. CHS will not accept any bills after the 72-hour notice; 30 days for elders. This includes any ER visits.
Brimley VFW Raffle winners
The week of Oct. 7, the $100 prize went to Claude Denker of Brimley and the $25 prize went to Mollie Bertram of Brimley.
Oct. 14 winners were Cristy Wilson of Dafter, $100, and Jim Irwin of Rudyard, $25.
Oct 21 weekly winners were Diane Solberg of Brimley taking home the big $100 prize and Shirley Patrick of Dafter taking home $25.
Winners for the week of Oct 28 were Dutch Sterly of Brimley winning the $100 prize and Helen Wilkins of Kincheloe taking home $25.

Aerobics — At the Waishkey Center Gym. Mondays & Wednesdays 12-1 pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:45-5:45 pm. Fee required.
Armchair Exercise — Mondays and Fridays at 10:30 a.m. in the Waishkey Center Gym. Improving circulation, flexibility and strength is important and possible regardless of age. The exercises we do will lessen back and leg strain becasue they are performed sitting down. Join us for this safe and enjoyable exercise. Free!
Water Exercise — at Lake Superior State University, Mondays & Wednesdays 6-6:50 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday, 10-10:50 a.m.
Transportation provided. Elders can be picked up and dropped off at their home. We will be departing from the Waishkey Center 45 minutes before class. Fee required.
Gnoozhekaaning Cultural Center Events & Activities
The Gnoozhekaaning Cultural Center, on Tower Rd. on the Bay Mills Reservation, is offering a number of activities this October. Watch for announcement updates.
The Cultural Center, equipped with a large meeting room and kitchen facilities, is also for rent. Call the Cultural Center at 248-5852 for more information. If no one is available, please leave a message.
Men's Talking Circles — The Men's Talking Circle will be meets in the Cultural Building every other Friday evening. Please Contact Pat McKelvie, 248-3204, or Lance Teeple, 248 5852, for the next meeting or information.
Women's Group — The women's group meets every other Wednesday (call Joyce Siegal at 248-3204, ext. 3309 for the next meeting or information). All women welcome. Meetings begin at 5 p.m. in the Cultural Center. The group has activities and other interesting items on its agenda. All women are welcome.
Cultural Committee — The Cultural Committee now meets the third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. Community welcome.
