The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is sponsoring a national Native American conference. The conference was developed to focus on both the social and economic development needs of Native American communities. The conference is for tribal planners or administrators and for individuals and communities that currently administer or plan to administer community based social service programs. This is a hands-on conference in how to use multiple streams of ACF funding to accomplish community goals. The national conference is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 3 to Friday, Dec. 5 at the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Convention Center in Phoenix, Ariz.
The “ACF Circle — Working Together for Successful Communities” Conference will highlight the components of operating a TANF program, Child Support Enforcement program, establishing Community Development Corporations, Individual Development Accounts, early childhood programs, youth programs and developing policies and procedures for mentoring programs as well as how to prepare an application for grant funding from the Administration for Native Americans.
There is no registration fee to attend the conference. Participants are encouraged to register early.
