Old Mission Bank promotes Andrzejak, hires Shute

SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. — Gail Andrzejak, formerly assistant vice president, retail lending, has been named branch manager for the Pickford Branch of Old Mission Bank. Elizabeth Shute has been appointed retail lender at the Sault Ste. Marie main office, according to a recent release from Old Mission Bank President and CEO David Firack.

Gail Andrzejak joined Old Mission Bancorp Inc., in August 1999, assisting in the organizational phase of Old Mission Bank. She was named assistant vice president, retail lending, in February 2000. A graduate of Central Michigan University's Robert M. Perry School of Banking, Andrzejak has over 25 years of local banking experience with 15 years in retail lending and branch management.

“Gail is a versatile banker with extensive knowledge and proven experience with our customer base and operational philosophy,” said Firack. “She will be the driving force behind the growth of our Pickford Branch.”

A lifelong resident of Pickford, Andrzejak and her husband Steve have two children, Marc, a senior at Lake Superior State University, and Lindsay, a sophomore at Michigan State University.

Andrzejak is active in community affairs and served as vice president of the Pickford Business Association.

Elizabeth Shute joined Old Mission Bank in December 2003 as a retail lender. She has two-and-one-half years of previous experience with Huntington National Bank as a certified personal banker.

“We are extremely happy to have Elizabeth as part of our retail lending team and look for her to be a significant contributor to the growth and development of Old Mission Bank,” said Firack.

Shute is a graduate of Rudyard High School and is pursuing an Associate Degree in business administration from Bay Mills Community College.

Prior to embarking on her banking career, she gained extensive sales experience as assistant manager of sales and customer service at Office Max.

Shute is involved in many community service activities. She is on a committee to establish a Boys and Girl Club of America in Sault Ste. Marie, acts as a team captain and participant in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event and as a “boot counter” for the United Way Chili Cook-Off.

Shute and her husband, Joshua, have a daughter, Maryssa.

Old Mission Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Old Mission Bankcorp Inc., is a $66 million locally owned and controlled financial institution serving the Eastern Upper Peninsula from its offices in Sault Ste. Marie and Pickford, Mich. Old Mission Bank, which specialized in commercial and residential lending, opened for business in February 2000.
