Bay Mills Ojibwe Charter School students brought down the house with their Christmas program, organized by Teacher Stephanie Vittitow and kicked off with a Native drum presentation.
Above, Kindergarten through 6th grade delights the audience with their rendition of “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.”
Other performances included the Kindergarten classes' “A Christmas Poem,” “Where is Santa?” “Who is Santa?” and “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.”
The first graders sang “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” and “Frosty the Snowman;” second and third grade sang “Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree” and “Deck the Halls;” fifth grade performed the skit “Are You Grumpy, Santa?” while the sixth grade told the story of “The Christmas Humbugs.”
Additionally, grades two through five sang “I Saw Santa” in Ojibwe.

The fifth grade class brought the audience to its feet with their rap performance of “Jingle Bell Rock.”

The fourth grade class showed off their moves with a dance performance of “Sleigh Ride” and “Christmas in Hollis.”
