DaimlerChrysler joins forces with
Bay Mills Community College



When members of DaimlerChrysler's Native American Employee Resource Group expressed a concern that Natives were under-represented in the work force, they had no idea that Chief Operating Officer (COO) Thomas LaSorda would acknowledge their concern firsthand.

When the group asked LaSorda if he would be interested in touring a Native community and speaking with Native leaders in an attempt to bridge the cultural gap, the COO heartily welcomed the opportunity. [more]

Waswagoning group works to educate people on Native culture

The Waswagoning Dance Theatre of Lac du Flambeau, Wisc., hit the stage of Bay Mills Resort and Casino's Horizon's Conference Center on Saturday, April 16, performing two shows for tribal members and casino guests. [more]

McDowell garners support for garbage bills

“Garbage is burying Michigan,” said State Representative Gary McDowell (D-Rudyard) as he hosted a town hall meeting in Dafter on April 14 to discuss the House Democrats' package of bills designed to deter the importation of garbage into the state.[more]
