Bay Mills residents earn MCOLES certification

STANDARD-SETTERS - Messuakee County Sheriff Jim Bosscher joins Ray Beach, the executive director of the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards, in congratulating Rennell Carrick, left, and Nicholas Bertram, both from Brimley. The two earned certification after a seven-week MCOLES academy at Lake Superior State University. Among other things the academy stresses skills in firearms, driving, and defense tactics.
