Carrick completes Pharmacy Technician program
BAY MILLS - Ashley Carrick recently completed the Pharmacy Technician program at Bay Mills Community College. After successfully completing the four-credit course, Carrick passed her Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam at Lansing Community College on July 23.

Carrick, who has been employed at the Bay Mills Pharmacy since the end of May, said that had she not attended the Pharmacy Technician Program at BMCC, she would have been unable to pass the test and earn her certificate. The nearly 200-question test took Carrick approximately two hours to complete and required plenty of preparation and studying. Even though she has completed the program and received her certification, Carrick said she would continue with her education - whether in a classroom setting or at work.

"This is an exciting job," Carrick said of her role as Pharmacy Technician for the Bay Mills Pharmacy. "It's very interesting and never gets boring. I'm learning something new here every day."

Carrick is the daughter of Levi and Millie Carrick of Bay Mills and Debbie Carrick of Hessel.
