BAY MILLS - The Bay Mills Indian Community Election will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 2. If a primary election is required, it will be held Wednesday, Oct. 19.
Any BMIC member who is a qualified registered voter and at least 21 years of age is eligible to hold tribal offices.
The following executive council positions are up for election: president, vice-president, councilman, treasurer and secretary. There are five vacancies on the Conservation Committee that are four-year terms. One appellate judge, a six-year term, is up for election. The candidate must be 25 years of age and be of good moral character.
The election will be held in the Armella B. Parker Building (Bay Mills Senior Center) on the dates listed above. The polls will be open between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
