Students enjoy Ojibwe Charter School's Winter Carnival

BAY MILLS - The Bay Mills Ojibwe Charter School celebrated "March is Reading Month" with a carnival at the school on March 15. The carnival, which was open to the entire community, featured a wide variety of games and activities, including a hula hoop toss, duck pond, spin-a-wheel, bean bag toss, barnyard race, golf, hoop shoot, hockey, horseshoes, pop toss, face painting, cake walk and an egg race. Local students place in Regional Science Fair
The following is a list of winners at the 2006 Brimley Area Schools Science Fair. First through third place projects in each grade advanced to the Regional Science Fair which was held at Lake Superior State Unversity on Thursday, March 16. [more]

Crossfire takes the stage once again

Veteran musicians and Bay Mills tribal members Steve and Skip Parish dusted off their rock-n-roll gear recently throwing themselves back into the limelight to play a weekend gig at Golanka's Bar, "The Bird," in Sault Ste. Marie on March 9 and 10. [more]
