Crusades program to be held at Bayliss

Dr. Fred Gillard will speak about his current research in the talk, "The Crusades, 200 years of Mayhem," at Bayliss Public Library on Thursday, April 13 at 7 p.m. The subject presents some interesting parallels to what is going on in the world today, post 9/11, according to Gilliard. This is the second time he will present the program, as the first presentation to Lake Superior State University Elders garnered so much interest.

Gilliard served as vice president of academic affairs at LSSU from 1984 to 1993. He authored the book, 'Adversity's Sweet Milk: Three Tales", and was featured during the Bayliss Library's Centennial Author Series in 2005.

The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served

Bayliss Public Library is located at 541 Library Drive in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. For more information call 906-632-9331.
