OCS students learn about Earth Day

OCS students learn about Earth Day

Students at the Bay Mills Ojibwe Charter School spent the day learning about the importance and history of Earth Day, which is celebrated on April 22. Across the country citizens are being encouraged to recycle and practice energy conservation, not only on Earth Day, but year-round.

The following are unedited journal entries from OCS kindergarten students about Earth Day:

I save the powr by shting off the lights. I do not dig holes in the ground.
