OCS kids take field trips

ZOO TIME - Ojibwe Charter School students, staff, and parents made a field trip to GarLyn Zoo on Highway 2 near Naubinway, Mich. on Friday, May 5. Following a week of beautiful spring weather, Friday was unfortunately cold with a misty rain, but the kids made the best of it. Here (L-R), Eva Perron, Jalyn LeBlanc, and Lexy Belleau attempt to befriend a goat. The zoo is set in a natural park-like setting with black bear, cougar, wolf, otter, camel and deer among the animals on display, some of which can be fed.

Students in the fourth and fifth grade classes at Ojibwe Charter School are shown posing at Whitefish Point during a recent field trip made possible by a ticket donation from Chris Sams.
