Hundreds of bikers braved the cold and windy weather to participate in the Bay Mills Resort and Casinos "Thunderfest" and annual "Blessing of the Bikes."

Despite the adverse weather conditions, bikers from all across the country showed up for the festivities, which included a variety of games, and live music featuring local bands Shift and BadSide prior to an evening performance by Mitch Ryder.

This year's 15th Annual "Honoring our Veterans" Pow Wow featured nearly 200 dancers from across the United States and Canada.

In its second year as a competition pow wow the number of entries grew significantly. The Pow Wow Committee has already begun planning on making next year's event bigger and better, and, ultimately, to become known as the Midwest championship of song and dance.

Additional pow wow photos as well as results will be featured in the next issue of Bay Mills News.
