Recreation Department adds equipment, staff and new locks to their fitness facility

The Bay Mills Department of Recreation and Health Department made some major changes to their department with the acquisition of a new employee, newly installed locks that require the use of an electronic key to gain access to their facilities, and some new equipment that includes three new weight benches, an ab crunch, Roman chair with Bosu support, back extension, televisions and a Treadwall. Sisters teach kids at Catholic Summer Camp

On June 10, three Dominican Sisters from the order of Mary Mother of the Eucharist from Ann Arbor, Mich., arrived at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church to conduct a Summer Camp for children ages 6 to 16 from Blessed Kateri in Bay Mills; St. Francis Xavier in Brimley; and St. Mary's in Sault Ste. Marie. The camp ran from Monday, June 19 to Thursday, June 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at the church. [more]
